Arkansas fans are not pleased with head coach Sam Pittman after the Razorbacks were blown out 48-14 on Friday night by Missouri.

Arkansas struggled on both sides of the ball for large stretches of the game. Offensively, Arkansas managed only 3.6 yards per play. Defensively, the Razorbacks had now answer for Mizzou running back Cody Schrader, who went for 217 yards in the win.

This disappointing performance caps a down year for Arkansas. The Razorbacks finish the season with just a 4-8 record — the worst mark since Pittman’s first season in 2020.

Despite this loss and Arkansas’ disappointing campaign, Pittman is expected to be retained by Arkansas for the 2024 season. Athletic director Hunter Yurachek announced the decision to keep Pittman for another season earlier this month.

However, Arkansas’ lackluster performance vs. Mizzou has caused some fans and media to wonder whether or not Yurachek could re-evaluate that decision. Arkansas went just 1-7 in SEC play this season, with its lone conference win coming in overtime at Florida on Nov. 4.
