Chad Morris managed to add another nice piece to Arkansas’ surprisingly strong 2019 recruiting class Wednesday all while hurting an SEC West rival.

The Razorbacks successfully flipped cornerback prospect Gregory Brooks Jr., who entered the first day of the Early Signing Period committed to Mississippi State. Brooks announced his college decision at West Jefferson High School in Harvey, Louisiana, and you can see the ceremony below courtesy of a tweet from Arkansas beat writer Nikki Chavanelle.

Considered a 3-star prospect by 247Sports.com’s composite ratings, Brooks shapes up as a nice addition to the Razorbacks’ 20th-ranked recruiting class. The website ranks Brooks as the No. 17 prospect from Louisiana and 40th-best nationally at his position.

Morris has done an outstanding job on the recruiting trail following a 2-10 season, his first year in Fayetteville that also went down as one of the program’s worst. Getting Brooks to flip from Mississippi State is further proof of that.
