Arkansas is getting a big one back.

Sophomore forward Trevon Brazile is returning for the 2023-24 season, he announced on social media Thursday. Brazile’s announcement comes on the same day that guard Nick Smith Jr. declared for the draft, ensuring that coach Eric Musselman will have the bulk of his rotation back for next year.

In 9 games before a season-ending injury, the 6-foot-10, 212-pound forward averaged 11.8 points, 6 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal, and 1.2 blocks a game. He shot 48% from the field, 37% from 3, and 68% from the foul line.

Brazile was one of the breakout players of the early part of the college basketball season as he helped the Razorbacks to an 8-1 start.

His return next year means Arkansas will likely bring back 4 of its 5 leading scorers from the 2022-23 team that won 22 games and made it to the Sweet 16.

According to HawgSports, Brazile traveled with the Razorbacks during their stay at the NCAA Tournament and has said he is ahead of schedule in his rehab from the ACL injury suffered on Dec. 6.
