Arkansas hires outside linebackers coach Chad Walker
Arkansas has pulled from the pro ranks to make its second addition to Bret Bielema’s coaching staff this offseason.
The Razorbacks hired Chad Walker on Friday night to serve as the team’s outside linebackers coach, according to a school release. Walker spent the last two seasons with the Atlanta Falcons as a defensive assistant/defensive backs coach and is fresh off a Super Bowl run with the team.

“Chad’s name was brought to my attention by several different people on the pro and collegiate level that have worked with him installing a 3-4 defense,” Bielema said in the school’s release. “After meeting him and going through the interview process, I’m really excited to get him on the field working with our guys and helping us transform our defense. I think he’ll hit the ground running in recruiting and I’m excited to have him join our family.”
Walker’s last stint in the SEC came as a defensive quality control assistant on Nick Saban’s staff at LSU from 2003-04.
