Arkansas has picked up commitment No. 6 for its 2024 recruiting class. On Friday, blue-chip cornerback Jaden Allen announced his pledge to play for Sam Pittman’s program.

Allen, out of Aledo (Texas), shared the news on his Twitter account.

Allen’s listed measurements are 5-11, 160 pounds. On the 247Sports composite rankings, Allen is rated 4-stars, the No. 29 cornerback, No. 61 Lone Star State recruit and No. 353 prospect overall nationally in the 2024 recruiting class.

Allen was committed to Texas for over a year. He pledged to the Longhorns on Dec. 29, 2021, but decommitted on Feb. 25, 2023. B.J. Allen, Jaden’s brother, was a member of the Horns’ 2022 recruiting class and remains with the team.

In addition to Arkansas and Texas, Jaden Allen also has scholarship offers from Alabama, LSU, Tennessee and others. Allen said he was considering 3 teams going into Friday’s commitment announcement.
