Arkansas picked up a massive commitment Wednesday.

Four-star athlete Byron Hanspard committed to the Hogs over several other programs, including Ole Miss and Mississippi State. He released news from his Twitter account.

The DeSoto, Texas, cornerback/wide receiver prospect visited Arkansas on Tuesday, and he pulled the trigger on Wednesday.  If the name sounds familiar, his father, Byron Hanspard Sr., won the 1996 Doak Walker Award while playing for Texas Tech.

He recorded 40 tackles and three INTs, along with 12 pass breakups during the 2016 season, and he’ll likely play corner in college.

Hanspard became the Hogs’ fourth commitment in the class of 2018, and he’s rated as the nation’s No. 23 overall athlete, according to 247Sports’ Composite Rankings.
