An opportunity to put on the uniform of an SEC program doesn’t present itself that often, and a three-star offensive lineman just decided to take the chance without a scholarship in hand.

Andrew Vest committed to Arkansas Sunday night on Twitter as a preferred walk-on, decommitting from the University of Central Arkansas in the process where he had been committed since July, according to 247Sports.

According to his tweet, Vest fully intends to be an early enrollee and graduate from Arkansas as well.

Vest also had offers from Lamar, Arkansas Pine-Bluff, Dartmouth and Houston Baptist. He’ll join a 2019 class which already has five commitments from the state of Arkansas. He ranks as the No. 18 recruit in the state, according to 247 sports.
