Arkansas has learned its bowl assignment, and the Razorbacks will head to Memphis for the Liberty Bowl against Kansas.

It’s a pair of 6-6 teams, as the Jayhawks were one of the bright spots early in the season, but sputtered down the stretch. The game is set for Wednesday, Dece. 28th at 4:30 p.m. CT and will be broadcast on ESPN.

This will be just the third meeting between the programs and the first since 1906. The Jayhawks won both of the previous 2 matchups by a combined score of 43-5.

Arkansas will have some momentum coming off of the heels of KJ Jefferson’s announcement that he would return next season.

After a 3-0 start, Arkansas stumbled to a 6-6 finish, while the Jayhawks are making their first bowl appearance since the 2008 Insight Bowl.

Kansas’ 6 wins this season surpass their combined win total from the previous 3 seasons, but it also stumbled. The last win, a 37-16 victory against the Oklahoma State Cowboys, came on Nov. 5th.
