Arkansas needed every second of Saturday night’s game to avoid an embarrassing upset against Coastal Carolina, but the important thing was the Razorbacks picked up the win.

Now, though, the road gets tougher, as the Hogs take on a strong LSU team this weekend. Making things more difficult for Bret Bielema’s squad is the uncertainty at the quarterback position.

Senior Austin Allen is returning from a shoulder injury, while redshirt freshman Cole Kelley has played well in his absence.

On Monday afternoon, Arkansas OC Dan Enos said the coaching staff will monitor the two quarterbacks in practice this week, and the healthiest and most effective player will get the start against the Tigers:

Kelley threw for 264 yards and a touchdown against Coastal Carolina, but if Allen is healthy, he’ll be the likely starter moving forward.

Saturday’s game at LSU kicks off at 11 a.m. Central time and can be seen on ESPN.
