Some depth along Arkansas’ offensive line took a hit on Saturday when Dalton Wagner suffered an injury, Bret Bielema said during his post-practice media availability.

While the severity of his injury doesn’t appear to be too serious, Bielema suggested it could lead to a redshirt season for the hulking 6-foot-9, 311-pound freshman.

“Dalton Wagner, who had been running pretty good for us as a third-string tackle, working in with the twos a little bit, unfortunately, had an injury in his foot,” Bielema said. “Non-surgical, doesn’t have anything broken, just a 4-6 week window to heal. So he was booted up. We will make a decision on him.

“Obviously, he’s got a redshirt year in his back hip pocket. See where it goes.”

While losing Wagner may not be a critical blow at this point, you can never have too many offensive linemen ready to go heading into a season.
