Hornsby, who has been with the Razorbacks for 2 seasons, surprised fans and media members when he announced plans to enter the portal last week on his Twitter account. The potential depth hit to the Arkansas quarterback room worried many of the Hog faithful.
A Missouri City, Texas native and Fort Bend Marshall product, Hornsby was rated 4-stars and the No. 8 dual-threat quarterback in the class of 2020 on the 247Sports Composite, picking up 25 scholarship offers. Hornsby redshirted in 2020, playing in just 1 game. In 2021, he appeared in 7 games, going 5-of-12 passing for 46 yards while rushing 24 times for 136 yards and a touchdown.
