It might take the Arkansas Razorbacks (4-4, 2-2 SEC) more than 54 points to beat Ole Miss (7-2, 4-1) this week. That’s how many points they needed last week to beat Auburn, though that included four overtimes after regulation time ended with a 24-24 tie.

Ole Miss has one of the most potent offenses in the country. Junior-college transfer quarterback Chad Kelly, NFL Hall of Famer Jim Kelly’s nephew, leads the way for the Rebels’ offense, which averages 519.6 yards and 39.4 points per game.

Most of those yards are through the air. Ole Miss averages 346.7 passing yards per game —  11th best in the country.

Ole Miss doesn’t run the ball very effectively, and may have trouble against Arkansas’ 20th-ranked rushing defense. But the Razorbacks have struggled so badly at defending the pass, Ole Miss may not need to run. Last week against Auburn, Kelly attempted 51 passes and threw for 381 yards.

Injuries have been a major problem for the Rebels defense, but the unit appears to be getting healthy. Defensive lineman Robert Nkemdiche returned from a concussion on Saturday while defensive back Tony Conner is expected to return this weekend, according to reports.

Arkansas will try to control the ball behind the running of Alex Collins, who has rushed for 960 yards and 12 TDs with a 5.8 yards per carry average, to keep Kelly and the Ole Miss offense off the field. It won’t be easy — the Rebels are allowing only 3.1 yards per carry.

OLE MISS REBELS CLOSER LOOK

Key Player, offense: Laqoun Treadwell, Jr., WR — Analysts consider Treadwell a top 10 pick in next year’s NFL draft. He has already set career-highs with 870 receiving yards and six touchdowns. Treadwell is also 12th in the country with 61 receptions.

Key Player, offense: Chad Kelly, Jr., QB – Though inconsistent, Kelly has been one of the top signal callers in the SEC this season. He has completed 65.1 percent of his passes for 2,856 yards, 20 touchdowns and 12 interceptions during his first year with the Rebels.

Key Player, defense: Robert Nkemdiche, Jr., DL – Nkemdiche is near the top of most early 2016 NFL mock drafts due to his size and quickness. He plays nearly every down and sheds blockers, allowing other defenders to make tackles. He has 1.5 sacks and 5.5 tackles for loss. Nkemdiche has scored two TDs as a short-yardage back, but suffered a concussion on offense against Memphis and missed most of two games before returning last week.
