Arkansas really made it worthwhile for San Jose State to travel in 2019
It’s not unusual for power-conference teams to pay FBS schools a lot of money to play a non-conference football game, but lately, the price tag for such games has gotten more expensive.
According to 247Sports, Arkansas will pay $1.5 million (a fairly “normal” amount these days) to host San Jose State in Week 4 of the 2019 season.
The $1.5 million matches what the Razorbacks will pay 2017 opponent Coastal Carolina, their Week 10 opponent for this upcoming season.
The 2019 contest against San Jose State could be played in either Fayetteville or Little Rock, depending on whether or not the school renews its contract with War Memorial Stadium in Little Rock, which is set to expire in 2018.
