Clemson graduate transfer Scott Pagano was arguably the sport’s most popular player this weekend, as more than 30 schools, including LSU, Georgia, Texas A&M, Kentucky, Arkansas and Ole Miss, reached out to the defensive tackle who was recently given his release.

On Monday, Pagano revealed that Arkansas is the only SEC school to make the cut. The Razorbacks are in Pagano’s final seven along with Oklahoma, Cal, Oregon, Nebraska, Notre Dame and Texas according to Ryan Bartow of 247Sports. Pagano will reportedly be setting up official visits with plans of enrolling at his new school in May.

If the Hogs land Pagano, they will be getting a big boost on the defensive line. Pagano tallied 93 tackles, including eight for loss, 2.5 sacks, 7 quarterback pressures, and a pass breakup in his Clemson career. CBS Sports already ranks the 6-foot-4, 295-pounder as a top-10 defensive lineman in the 2018 NFL Draft.

Arkansas coach Bret Bielema has changed things up on defense this offseason as part of a switch to a 3-4 scheme for 2017. Former New York Jets assistant John Scott Jr. was recently hired to replace former defensive line coach Rory Sergrest. In January, defensive backs coach Paul Rhoads was promoted to defensive coordinator.
