Arkansas sets embarrassing 2019 record for biggest payout to a school just to lose
The past few years have been full of low points for the Arkansas program, but Saturday night may end up being the lowest of the low.
The Razorbacks hosted a San Jose State team that went 1-11 last year and ended up losing (that’s right, losing) to the Spartans 31-24.
To add insult to injury, Arkansas paid SJSU $1.5 million just to end up losing to their Mountain West foe. That shatters this year’s record for most money paid for a loss:
Arkansas paid $1.5 million to San Jose State today and lost.
Makes it highest losing payday this year, topping Eastern Michigan's win over Illinois last week. EMU got $1 million for the trouble.

That means Arkansas has now lost to Colorado State, North Texas and San Jose State during Chad Morris’s two years at the helm of the program.
If he doesn’t turn things around soon, he may not get a Year 3.
