Ashton Bethel-Roman signed with Arkansas in December, but he will not begin his career with the Razorbacks.

Bethel-Roman has received a release from his National Letter of Intent, according to reports. Former Arkansas receivers coach Kenny Guiton led Bethel-Roman’s recruitment. Guiton took a position as Wisconsin’s wide receivers coach in January.

A standout of Missouri City (Texas) Ridge Point High School, Bethel-Roman is listed as measuring over 6-feet and 165 pounds. On the 247Sports Composite, Bethel-Roman is rated 4-stars, the No. 35 wide receiver, No. 35 player in the Lone Star State and No. 210 prospect overall in the Class of 2024.

Arkansas landed 17 high school prospects during December’s Early Signing Period. Three-star safety Jeremy Cook is the only unsigned player verbally committed to the Hogs ahead of Wednesday’s National Signing Day. Sam Pittman’s staff has brought in 14 players from the transfer portal.

Bethel-Roman picked up scholarship offers from 22 schools, including Ole Miss, during his recruitment, including. He took official visits to Arkansas, Oregon and Texas Tech in June.
