A veteran Arkansas offensive lineman reportedly won’t be returning to the football team for 2021. According to Tom Murphy of the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette, Noah Gatlin plans to retire from football.

This past season, Gatlin won the job at right tackle and started the first five games of UA’s 2020 campaign. After suffering a concussion, however, he did not play the rest of the season.

Unfortunately, that wasn’t the first time he missed time due to a medical issue. In 2019, he suffered a season-ending knee injury on the first day of fall camp.

Out of Jonesboro, Gatlin was ranked in the state’s top-10 recruits (No. 8 player in Arkansas on 247Sports Composite) for the class of 2018. He redshirted that fall, taking advantage of the NCAA rule allowing him to play in four games for the Razorbacks.
