Arkansas suffers decommitment from JUCO tight end pledge
Arkansas tight end commitment Gregory Genross, a JUCO transfer from Dodge City CC, has decided to back off of his pledge and re-open his recruitment less than 2 weeks after committing to the Razorbacks.
Genross revealed his decision on Tuesday via a post to his X account, which you can see below:
First off, I would like to thank everyone from University of Arkansas on giving me the opportunity to play the game I love. After talking it over with my family, I’ve decided it’s best for me to DECOMMIT from Arkansas and will be reopening my recruitment. ??

Genross, originally from New York City and a member of the class of 2020, has played 2 seasons at Dodge City, totaling 265 yards and 3 touchdowns during his career. In 2023, he made 16 catches for 173 yards and 2 touchdowns. He committed to the Razorbacks program on Nov. 30.
However, Genross has caught the eye of Jeff Lebby and his staff at Mississippi State, with the Bulldogs looking to land his services. They hosted him on an official visit the weekend of Dec. 8, which culminated in Genross’s decision on Tuesday evening.
Along with Mississippi State, Houston, New Mexico State, Troy, Utah State, and West Virginia were among the other programs that extended offers to Genross.
