Last Saturday, Arkansas center Frank Ragnow lost his father due to an unexpected heart attack.

Head coach Bret Bielema flew back with Ragnow to his native Minnesota in order to be with the family. Ragnow still remains in Minnesota ahead of Arkansas’ major clash with No. 1 Alabama on Saturday in Fayetteville.

Having Ragnow — one of the country’s best interior linemen — in the fold for the game is far from a certainty. During a Wednesday presser, Bielema explained Ragnow’s current status as it pertains to potentially playing against the Crimson Tide:

“We are sending him info for the game plan. He will be back by Thursday or Friday. We understand if he’s not with us. Is that his call? 100-percent. When you are in these type of scenarios things can change. It’s not only him but his mother’s decision as well.”
