Braylen Russell, 4-star RB prospect from Arkansas, reveals SEC pledge

Braylen Russell is a 4-star running back and one of the top players out of Arkansas for the 2024 recruiting class. On Friday, he announced his college commitment.
Russell previously announced a final group of all SEC schools with Arkansas, Tennessee and South Carolina vying for his commitment. In the end, he committed to the Razorbacks for a second time in his recruitment, opting to stay home and play for Sam Pittman’s program.

Prior to Friday, Russell originally committed to Arkansas in Nov. of 2021. He eventually reopened his recruitment in Oct. of 2022 and spent the summer taking official visits to South Carolina, Baylor, Arkansas and Tennessee.
Now back in the fold for Arkansas, Russell is still a major addition as a 4-star running back and the 25th RB in the country per the 247 Sports Composite. The system also rates Russell as the No. 4 player out of Arkansas for the class of 2024.
Russell is listed at 6-foot-1 and 230 pounds out of Benton High School in Benton, Arkansas. He’s the 5th in-state commitment for the Razorbacks in a 2024 recruiting class that is ranked 20th in the country per the 247 Sports Team Composite.
