On Monday night, former Texas A&M QB Nick Starkel announced he would be transferring to play at Arkansas.

Starkel will be eligible to play right away and will have two years of eligibility remaining, which makes for an interesting situation in Fayetteville, as the Hogs already landed SMU grad transfer QB Ben Hicks this offseason.

On Tuesday, coach Chad Morris spoke about Starkel’s talents, adding that he is trying to make sure the Arkansas quarterback room improves as much as possible:

The battle between Hicks and Starkel will be interesting to watch this spring, with both providing plenty of talent at the position.

Either way, the Hogs will need more production from the quarterback position in 2019, especially in Morris’s high-octane scheme.
