Chad Morris on Nate Dalton: 'He won't be around this week'
Arkansas player Nate Dalton was sent to the locker room early by an angry Chad Morris on Saturday during the win against Tulsa after he slapped on opponent’s helmet on a fair catch.
Clearly, Morris is still upset about the incident 48 hours later, and he updated Dalton’s status during his Monday press conference.
Morris said the junior defensive back would be out at least another week, saying it three times during his press conference:
“He won’t be around this week,” Morris said, and the reporter asked for clarification. “He just won’t be around this week. We have a standard and I’m not going to deviate. Yeah, he won’t be around this week.”
Dalton’s penalty was completely unnecessary, and Morris is clearly taking a hard stance against such actions.
Whether Dalton returns in two weeks or not remains to be seen.
Oh well I am disgusted by this! He’s being far too soft on this young man! Nothing short of having him drawn and quartered on live tv (perhaps pay per view because revenues) should be considered acceptable. Because, from what I hear, CM coddles our players TOO much unlike Nick Saban… (I’m looking at you Bunker Buster. Stay in your lane AND on your side of the river.”
