Third Arkansas assistant coach leaving the Razorback program for UTSA
Sam Pittman’s Arkansas staff looks to be full of new faces next season as the Razorbacks have now lost three assistant coaches to the Texas San Antonio program.
If you missed the news, running backs coach Jeff Traylor has left Arkansas to become the new head coach at UTSA. Former interim coach/tight ends coach Barry Lunney Jr. also left Arkansas for UTSA. Now a third coach has left Fayetteville as UTSA has officially announced the hiring of special teams coordinator Daniel Da Prato.
Da Prato began the season as an off-the-field analyst for the Razorbacks but once Chad Morris was dismissed and Lunney was named interim head coach of the Arkansas program, Da Prato was elevated to special teams coordinator for Arkansas.
This news isn’t shocking but it continues to reinforce just how different things will look next season at Arkansas as the Sam Pittman era has already begun to take shape on The Hill.
Lunney and Traylor were the only two coaches from the previous staff that anyone wanted to say around.
I trust Coach Pittman will bring in a solid staff.
The special teams coach is the last coach Arkansas wanted to keep. Good riddance ot that guy. I’ve seen enough Arkansas botched punts to last a lifetime.
get a special teams coach who can recruit us an Aussie punter
Just waiting for the confirmation that Chavis is gone.
Replace Chavis with Charlie Strong would be the best news to come to Arkansas fans for the holidays
Good Riddance to anyone who didn’t want to help Coach Pittman…either you are for or against Ark. I am backing Sam Pittman 100%…..Thank you for wanting to BE AT ARKANSAS…as many folks including Chad Morris who didn’t want to be there….if so, he would have moved his family there first thing. Chad Morris will be remembered as the WORST head in Ark History…you and Gus deserve each other.
