Devo Davis is back with the Arkansas Razorbacks, Eric Musselman announced Monday on his radio show.

On Jan. 27, Arkansas announced in a one-sentence press release that Davis had stepped away from the program. No reason was given for his absence.

Davis missed the Razorbacks’ games against Kentucky, Mizzou and LSU. Losses to Kentucky and LSU bookended a 91-84 road win over Mizzou.

Davis will have a few practices to get game-ready. The veteran guard’s return comes at a time that Arkansas is off from midweek action.

The Hogs’ next game is Saturday at home against Georgia, set for 6 p.m. ET on the SEC Network. UGA is currently 14-8 overall and 4-5 in SEC play on a three-game losing skid in Mike White’s second season.

Arkansas is trying to turn things around amid a disappointing 2023-24 season. Musselman’s team is just 11-11 overall, with a lowly 2-7 record in conference play. Vanderbilt (6-15, 1-7 SEC) and Mizzou (8-14, 0-9) are the only teams behind Arkansas in the SEC standings. The Razorbacks are 8-4 at Bud Walton Arena, but just 1-4 in road games and 2-3 at neutral sites.

Before leaving the team, Davis played in 19 games, making 18 starts. He averaged 6.3 points and 4 rebounds over 29 minutes per game. He played just 23.8 minutes per game in SEC play, averaging 4 points per game. Even with his three-game absence, Davis leads the Razorbacks in assists with 40.

Davis’ Arkansas bio notes that he was the only Razorback to be part of the back-to-back-to-back Sweet 16 runs. Davis has 1,061 points, 501 rebounds, 293 assists and 128 steals in his career. He was named to the SEC’s All-Defensive Team last season.
