Dre Greenlaw confused everyone with his mispronunciation of Arkansas on Sunday Night Football
NFL players sometimes get creative in their “Sunday Night Football” introductions. Some players will say “DBU” (or any other position-U) instead of the name of their alma mater. A fair number of players have occasionally added “The” to the name of their university to troll Ohio State. Former Arkansas LB Dre Greenlaw has everyone scratching their heads with his Sunday night intro.
Greenlaw pronounced Arkansas “Ar-Kansas,” which is…something you just don’t do. NBC shared the brief clip from the San Francisco-Green Bay game, even tagging the Razorback football official account:

Whether via social media or traditional media, we should get an explanation from the former Hog at some point. It’s worth noting that one of his fellow 49ers linebackers is former LSU Tiger Kwon Alexander. Perhaps the two had a friendly bet (an ill-advised bet in Greenlaw’s case) on Saturday night’s game, which LSU won 56-20.
One can hope the clip finds its way to Les Miles.
