Drew Sanders is one of the most versatile defenders in the SEC, and a big reason why Arkansas defense is playing well late in the season.
Sanders leads the Razorbacks in tackles with 96, which is third in the SEC, and also has a team-high 12.5 tackles for a loss, which is second in the SEC behind Alabama’s Will Anderson.
Arkansas pointed out the rare stat that since 2000, only two FBS players have totaled 95 or more tackles with at least 12 tackles for loss, eight sacks, three forced fumbles, a fumble recovery and an interception in a single season:
- Buffalo LB Khalil Mack (2013)
- Arkansas LB Drew Sanders (2022)

It’s quite an improvement from last season, when Sanders played in 12 games with 3 starts and totaled 24 tackles, including 2.5 for loss and one sack.
