Arkansas had one of the best backcourt combos in the SEC in 2019-20 with Isaiah Joe and Mason Jones.

Though Joe battled some injuries, he was still electric when he was able to stay on the court. Jones has already declared for the 2020 NBA Draft, but Joe had yet to make his decision.

On Monday, Arkansas coach Eric Musselman revealed that Joe has submitted his draft paperwork, but will retain his college eligibility in case he wants to return to school (via 247Sports):

“Isaiah Joe has submitted his paperwork to the NBA draft,” Musselman said Monday. “He will not hire an agent. He’s going to keep the door open for a possible return to college. Isaiah and his family, the want to gather as much information as they can. They want to learn through this process and make a decision whenever that time comes, whether to keep his name in the draft or come back to the University of Arkansas.

“I wanted to tell you that he submitted his paperwork. We had a Zoom call today with our current team. He’ll remain part of everything we do going forward. He’ll kind of have a dual role in pursuing that as well as doing anything we do as a program, as well. I’m on the phone a lot with his father Derrick more than a few times during the week to try and gather information. He has received his feedback from the undergraduate committee, that came back a few days ago. A lot of those conversations will remain private, but I have gotten a lot of good feedback. People recognize what a good player he is.”

Joe appeared in 26 games for the Hogs this past season, starting 25. He averaged 16.9 points, 4.1 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 1.4 steals per game.
