Former Arkansas running back Alex Collins agreed to a plea deal to two misdemeanor charges — one on a possession of handgun and the other on possession of marijuana — on Friday according to NFL.com’s Ian Rapoport.

Collins received probation and will have to pay a small fine.

Collins hasn’t been on an NFL roster since the Baltimore Ravens released him following his car crash on March 1. He was reportedly driving a car with expired tags when the car went off the road and into a tree. When police smelled marijuana at the crash site, they searched the vehicle and found a glass jar with five ounces of marijuana as well as a black revolver.

Playing for Arkansas from 2013-15, Collins rushed for 1,000 yards in reach of his three seasons. As a junior, he tallied 1,577 rushing yards and 20 touchdowns while averaging 5.8 yards per carry.

Collins showed promise as a young back with the Seahawks and Ravens before getting released. He rushed for 973 yards in his second season with Baltimore in 2017. Last season, he posted 411 rushing yards in 10 starts.

Overall, Collins has posted 1,509 rushing yards and 14 touchdowns in 36 career NFL games.
