Former Arkansas standout Trey Flowers signs with new NFL team, per report

Former Arkansas standout Trey Flowers is reportedly on the move. NFL Media insider Ian Rapoport reported Sunday that Flowers is signing with the Miami Dolphins.
Flowers is reportedly signing a 1-year deal worth $2.1 million. The deal has incentives for Flowers to earn up to $3 million.

Flowers has been in the NFL since 2015. After 4 seasons at Arkansas, including second-team All-SEC recognition in 2013, he was selected No. 101 overall by the New England Patriots in the 2015 NFL Draft.
Flowers was with the Patriots for 4 seasons, through 2018. Ahead of the 2019 season, Flowers signed a 5-year deal with the Detroit Lions.
Flowers did not complete his 5-year deal with Detroit. The Lions placed him on injured reserve in December 2021. On March 16, Flowers was released by the Lions.
In his NFL career, Flowers has played in 84 games, including 73 starts. In regular-season action, Flowers has recorded 261 tackles and 31.5 sacks. Flowers has logged 39 tackles and 5.5 sacks in the postseason.
During his time with the Patriots, Flowers was part of 2 Super Bowl-winning squads.
