Former Razorback assistant John Scott Jr. post heartfelt message to Arkansas, players and fans
When the opportunity to return home comes, it can be hard to pass up.
If John Scott Jr. didn’t know that lesson already, he learned it recently when Will Muschamp offered him a position on the South Carolina coaching staff. The opportunity to return home won out in the end and Scott decided to leave Arkansas for the Gamecocks. Scott was officially announced as the new defensive line coach in Columbia earlier this week.
Scott didn’t leave in the middle of the night without notice, however, and he even took the time to thank Arkansas, Chad Morris, John Chavis, Hunter Yurachek, his former players and the fans for all their support over the years.
Arkansas is a special place with special people. My family and I have been embraced by some of the best fans in all of college athletics. Thank you so much for your support and kindness. Coach Morris and Hunter Yurachek are building something for you all to be proud of. #WPS

To my D-Linemen: thank you for your time, dedication and passion. You guys are the reason we all do this. I’m always here for you. Keep working! You guys are in great hands with Coach Chavis.

Classy move here by Scott.
If you were wondering, Arkansas has yet to announce a replacement for his role on the coaching staff.
