Fox Sports analysts showing Arkansas Top 10 love
The Associate Press and Coaches polls have yet to put Arkansas into the top 15, but three Fox Sports analysts believe the Razorbacks belong in the top 10.
Bruce Feldman has Arkansas at No. 8, the second-highest SEC team in his top 10. For Feldman, it’s all about the Week 2 win over TCU.
Stewart Mandel agrees with Feldman that Arkansas could be next in line behind Alabama when it comes to ranking the SEC, slotting Bret Bielema’s team at No. 9.
Similar to Feldman, columnist and radio host Clay Travis goes back to Week 2 when giving the Hogs a spot at No. 8:
I’m bumping the Razorbacks up because their road win over TCU is better than anything Washington or Michigan have done thus far.
Travis, however, has Texas A&M as the SEC’s second-best team (No. 5).
The AP poll has four teams separating No. 1 Alabama and No. 18 Arkansas (No. 10 Texas A&M, No. 12 Georgia and No. 14 Tennessee).
The coaches see an even bigger divide, with five conference teams in between the Crimson Tide and Razorbacks (No. 11 Georgia, No. 12 Tennessee, No. 13 Texas A&M, No. 16 Florida, No. 17 LSU).
Will more voters eventually see things the way of the trio of Fox Sports analysts? One would certainly expect a jump into the top 10 if the Hogs can top Texas A&M in Dallas.
aTm is #2 in sec right now for me. Hold the brakes on Arkansas. IMO
Thats fine with Hog fans. We will see soon enough.
Well lets help these talking heads out and put the smack down on some Aggies Saturday.
Its time we get one ! Woo Pig
Nothing needs to be given to us. Earn everything
Arkansas is a seriously good team. Too early to figure out which teams are really top 10 caliber teams, but Arkansas is in the group of teams that could end up in the mix. Problem is, it takes 3 to 4 games to tune up up a team, injuries happen to rosters teams cannot fix, etc, etc. Pretty sure the team that wins this game is good enough to finish the season in the top 20 (its a very long season) by the end of the year, and with breaks finish in the top 10.
The Hogs are well coached, so are the Ags. Personnel match ups are interesting, it should be a really good game. Travel safe guys.
Best of luck to your guys this Saturday, but we’re STARVING for a W over ya’ll. It’s gonna be the best game this week for sure.
I was actually at the last JerryWorld game Arkansas won, so I will not be there this year…….. Love playing Arkansas, great traditions, you guys travel very well and lets end this stupid neutral site bs. A home and home A&M / Arkansas series would just be awesome. Both our stadiums have better atmospheres than JerryWorld can come close to. Best of luck guys. This one will have me on the edge of my seat.
Playing in Jerry World every year is a huge recruiting tool for Arkansas.
Yeah, It’s sort of ran the coarse of time. I would rather have a home and home.
The game in JerryWorld was a bigger recruiting tool for Arkansas before the Aggies came into the SEC. Now that they’re a division opponent I’d much rather get them in Razorback Stadium every other year. PLUS, this would be a GREAT game to host recruits if it were in Fayettville (or College Station for the Ags). Love having a young recruit in a top 20 matchup gameday atmosphere. I can’t wait for this matchup Saturday! It should be a good one.
If recent history is any indicator this one should be another edge of your seat affair. We have had 3 games vs uptempo offense, so we should be ready for the pace, but we havnt seen the likes of that Kirk kid and the rest of your receiving corps. Gunna be a test for sure.
AM belongs above us for now. I don’t have a problem with any of the other SEC schools being above us either right now other than LSU. All they have done is beat a FCS school and squeak by State. In the end it doesn’t matter because it all gets settled on the field. WPS.
Throw the rankings out on this one Hawg. Its going to be a slug fest in the trenches. One thing Aggies have learned is a good prep for this game is watching re runs of Rocky III.
You’re exactly right Army. This old SWC rivalry goes back over 100 years. Much bigger than the 2016 week 3 rankings. While I’m 36 years old, I do still remember the old SWC days somewhat.
