If Hugh Freeze stays at Liberty long enough, he could travel to two SEC stadiums as head coach of the Flames.

Liberty is already scheduled to make a trip to Oxford in November of 2021, which would be amazing if that’s how Freeze made his return to Ole Miss, and now the program has agreed to take on Arkansas in late 2022.

Arkansas announced on Thursday that Liberty will travel to Fayetteville on Nov. 5, 2022. Arkansas has never played Liberty. The only other non-conference game Arkansas has scheduled for the 2022 season is against BYU, which is set to be played on Oct. 15.

Freeze, the disgraced former Ole Miss coach, coached in Oxford from 2012-2016. He was fired leading up to the 2017 season and had yet to resurface in college football until taking the Liberty job this offseason. Before landing the Ole Miss job, Freeze served as head coach of Arkansas State for one season back in 2011.
