Jadon Haselwood took some of the heat off of Cam Little after the Arkansas kicker saw his late field-goal attempt bounce off the top of the right goal post as the Razorbacks fell against Texas A&M on Saturday.

“I lifted his head up,” Haselwood said, per Mason Choate of Rivals. “It was a lot of stuff that led up to that. The game wasn’t on him…The game should’ve never been in his hands anyways.”

The 23-21 loss, “probably put a chip on our shoulder. The only answer right now is work,” he added.

Haselwood said the game should have never been in Little’s hands. Haselwood himself had 5 catches for 56 yards in the loss. For what it’s worth, Little connected on all 3 extra points against Texas A&M.

Now the Razorbacks move on to play Alabama next week.

“It’s college football, you have to respond. At the end of the day, you can’t lay down,” Haselwood said.
