Jaheim Singletary was a 5-star cornerback in Georgia’s elite 2022 recruiting class. He appeared in 3 games for Georgia in 2022, but didn’t record any stats.

After the Bulldogs won the national title, though, Singletary decided to explore his transfer options ahead of the 2023 season.

It seems he won’t be leaving the SEC. On Tuesday, Arkansas coach Sam Pittman announced that Singletary had signed his SEC agreement to join the Razorbacks:

In the 2022 recruiting class, Singletary was a 5-star prospect and the No. 5 overall cornerback, per the 247Sports composite rankings.

Now the Florida native is heading to the SEC West to join a secondary that desperately needs some help.

What this means for Arkansas

The Razorbacks finished with the worst pass defense of all 131 FBS teams in 2022, giving up 294.7 passing yards per game to opponents.

At this point, the Hogs need all the help in the secondary they can get. Adding Singletary to that mix will be interesting. If he has solid showings in spring practices and in fall camp, he could have a big role in 2023.
