John Morgan, an Arkansas defensive end, was carted off the field during the Razorbacks’ Week 5 game against Texas A&M Saturday afternoon.
Morgan, a senior for the Razorbacks, collapsed on the field after taking a few steps on a light contact play. He was put on a stretcher and later carted off a few minutes following after medical personnel attended to him.
According to an update on the field from Alyssa Lang, Morgan was verbalizing and able to move on the cart. Lang also reported that Morgan was being loaded into an ambulance and will be taken to a local hospital as a precaution, with particular emphasis being placed on his neck area. Because of this, he was being asked not to move on the field.

A scary scene that puts all football games into perspective. Arkansas’ thoughts are with Morgan as the Razorbacks trail by 12 heading into the final minutes of the game.
