Kelly Bryant has a strong relationship with Arkansas coach Chad Morris, which is one of the reasons why the Clemson quarterback plans to visit the Razorbacks as he decides where he wants to transfer.

During an appearance on “Sports Talk with Bo Mattingly” on Wednesday, Bryant discussed what has him excited about visiting Arkansas.

“I heard about the fans. I’m looking forward to getting a feel for the environment,” Bryant told Mattingly. “I’ve heard so much about Arkansas, and I’m looking forward to see what they have to offer.”

Bryant said that he has a “really strong” relationship with Morris, who recruited Bryant to Clemson when he was serving as the Tigers’ offensive coordinator in 2014.

“I’ve been talking to him, and it feels like we’re picking up right where we left off when I was in high school,” Bryant told Mattingly.

Arkansas is 1-6 this season with six consecutive losses after beating Eastern Illinois in its season opener. The Razorbacks also haven’t won an SEC game. But Bryant said that a team’s record won’t influence his decision.

“Anything can change in a year span,” Bryant told Mattingly.
