UPDATE: Arkansas has announced the hiring of Kenny Ingram.

After losing defensive line coach John Scott Jr. to South Carolina, Chad Morris has decided to look within the conference to fill the open position on his Arkansas staff.

Kenny Ingram is getting a nice promotion this offseason as Auburn director of player relations will be promoted to an on-the-field role in Fayetteville, as first reported by Trey Biddy of HawgSports/247Sports. Ingram is expected to coach the Razorbacks’ defensive tackles next season.

Ingram, a Memphis native, has twice served at Auburn under Gus Malzahn and has previously coached as the defensive line coach at Cincinnati under Tommy Tuberville. During his time working for Malzahn, Ingram has helped develop Auburn’s reputation as one of the best programs in the nation at producing defensive linemen.

Ingram also has experience serving as defensive coordinator at Memphis and defensive line coach at Arkansas State.
