A game so loud that even the almighty Alabama Crimson Tide could have lost?

Kirk Herbstreit says he was there for such a game, at last season’s battle between Georgia and Arkansas. According to Herbstreit, Arkansas QB KJ Jefferson will be better prepared after experiencing such an environment.

Speaking to the Little Rock Touchdown Club on Monday, Herbstreit said:

Jefferson is a native of Mississippi, having finished his high school career with 9,582 passing yards, 2,922 rushing yards and 143 total touchdowns. He committed to Arkansas as a 4-star prospect in 2019. Both his freshman and sophomore redshirt seasons at Arkansas saw Jefferson playing backup to Nick Starkel, and Felipe Franks, respectively.

In 2021, Jefferson won the QB job, starting all 12 games, and helping the Razorbacks to a 9-4 season (4-4 in SEC play). Jefferson was named the Outback Bowl MVP after leading his team to a 24-10 victory over Penn State. He finished 2021 with 2,676 yards passing for 21 touchdowns and only 4 interceptions. He also rushed 146 times for 664 yards and 6 scores.

The No. 19 Razorbacks will take on No. 23 Cincinnati on Saturday, Sept. 3.
