KJ Jefferson left Arkansas’ game against No. 9 Missouri in the first quarter on Friday after a 22-yard run ended with a hard shot to his left knee.

Jefferson fumbled the ball on the play and left the field gingerly. When he reached the sideline, he immediately went to the team’s medical tent. Jefferson was replaced by Jacolby Criswell on each of the next two drives for the Razorbacks.

Jefferson’s stay in the injury tent was brief. He limped back to the sideline and was later shown jogging back and forth.

Criswell ran for 1 yard on his first play, threw a 2-yard pass on second down, and then fired incomplete on third. Criswell was also at the controls for Arkansas when it came out to open the second quarter. His second possession ended with a punt after seven plays and 38 yards.

Jefferson is playing in what could be his final game for Arkansas. Criswell is in his first season at Arkansas after transferring in this past offseason from North Carolina — where he appeared in 14 games across three seasons.

The fumble from Jefferson was turned into a field goal by Missouri and pushed the Tigers out to a 10-0 lead.
