The Razorbacks have their quarterback to build around in the 2021 recruiting cycle and they didn’t even have to go outside the Natural State to land him as Little Rock native Landon Rogers announced his commitment to Sam Pittman’s program on Thursday.

The 6-foot-4, 215-pound Parkview Magnet High School product is rated as a three-star prospect and the nation’s No. 28 dual-threat quarterback in the 2021 recruiting cycle by 247Sports Composite Rankings. He committed to Arkansas over scholarship offers from Kansas, Houston, Louisiana, Louisana-Monroe and North Texas.

Rogers is the third commitment in the 2021 recruiting cycle for the Razorbacks, all of which come from in-state prospects, as he joins offensive lineman Terry Wells and linebacker Marco Avent as Arkansas pledges.

“First and foremost, I want to thank God for blessing me with this amazing ability to play the game that I have so much love for,” Rogers wrote in his commitment statement. “Secondly, I want to thank my mom for all the sacrifices that she’s made for me and just being with me every step of the way and thanks to my Parkview coaching staff and teammates, without them, none of this would be possible… Making this decision was tough but with that being said, I am committed to the University of Arkansas.”
