For a brief time, Arkansas had two quarterbacks from the 2021 recruiting cycle committed to the program but following Lucas Coley’s pledge to join Sam Pittman’s Razorback program, Little Rock native Landon Rogers decommitted to reevaluate his options.

Now it appears the Parkview Magnet standout is back in the fold as Rogers announced “I’m back baby,” on Thursday morning.

Rogers’ original commitment to Arkansas came back on April 16 which was followed by his decommitment on July 4.

The 6-foot-4, 215-pound Little Rock native is rated as a three-star prospect, the No. 6 overall prospect from the state of Arkansas and the No. 31 dual-threat quarterback nationally in the 2021 recruiting cycle by 247Sports Composite Rankings.

The Little Rock native earned All-State recognition after throwing for 1,661 yards and 19 touchdowns in addition to 584 rushing yards and 10 scores on the ground for Parkview Magnet.

Following his decommitment from Arkansas, Les Miles’ Kansas program made a hard push for Rogers but the Natural State native apparently could not turn down the opportunity to play for the Razorbacks.

Based on his junior season highlight reel, Rogers has a skill set and body type that closely resembles current Arkansas quarterback Feleipe Franks. It remains to be seen what Franks will do in Kendal Briles’ offensive system but what the senior quarterback does could resemble what we see down the road from Rogers in the same offense in Fayetteville.
