Lane Kiffin had the opportunity to coach the Razorbacks in this game but we all know that didn’t happen. Instead, Arkansas had to turn to Sam Pittman after Kiffin landed at Oxford.

Who knew at the time that Kiffin was doing Arkansas a huge favor.

In the first head-to-head matchup between the two coaches, Arkansas came away with a 33-21 win after intercepting Ole Miss QB Matt Corral six times on Saturday.

If Pittman is the leading contender for SEC Coach of the Year, you have to put Barry Odom as the favorite to win The Broyles Award, given annually to the nation’s best assistant coach.
