With the renovations to Razorback Stadium nearly complete and with the season opener just weeks away, excitement will be off the charts come Sept. 1 for the Arkansas opener against Eastern Illinois.

That game will not only be the debut of the Chad Morris era, it will be the debut of a new statue outside fo Razorback Stadium. The team’s official Twitter account showed off the new statue, which they are calling the Wild Band of Razorback Hogs, which is located just outside the stadium.

It’s a tradition that the school carries on 109 years after former coach Hugo Bezdek is believed to have been the first person to call his team by the moniker. The name stuck and was officially changed soon after by an official vote.
