Florida A&M’s road jerseys on Thursday weren’t quite up to par for the college football dress code, as the numbers did not contrast enough.

The Rattlers were hit with a uniform violation in their away opener at Arkansas because they were wearing illegal jerseys, according to a report from CBS Sports.

The punishment? Florida A&M was forced to give up a timeout each quarter.

Rule 1-4.5-b in the college football dress code states that numbers must contrast with the jersey, even if the digits have visible borders.

Arkansas played its first game of the season in Little Rock against the Rattlers, while Florida A&M already had one under its belt after having beaten Texas Southern 29-7 last week.
