Despite the fact this game is called the “Battle Line Rivalry,” we respect fans’ wishes when it comes to not calling this series a rivalry.

That being said, the budding matchup has been pretty entertaining over the last year and a half and the showdown on the field in 2020 was the best game to date between the two SEC foes.

Some additional bad blood was added to the series after several former Missouri coaches are recruits surfaced in Arkansas, setting up for a heated game last fall that went down to the closing moments.

If you have forgotten what happened, Arkansas scored the go-ahead touchdown and two-point conversion with just over 40 seconds remaining in the game, only to have Missouri drive down the field and kick the game-winning field goal as time expired.

On Tuesday, the SEC announced this game will return to its national timeslot as the 2021 matchup between the two programs has been moved from Saturday, Nov. 27 to Friday, Nov. 26. The game will be broadcast nationally by CBS.

The next game in the series is set to take place in Fayetteville.

This is the same window the game has been broadcast in recent seasons, aside from the unusual 2020 COVID season, after the creation of the “Battle Line Rivalry” by the SEC.
