Whitehaven (Memphis, Tennessee) 2020 four-star linebacker Martavius French decommitted from Arkansas on Sunday.

French made the announcement on his Twitter account.

The No. 10 player in the state of Tennessee and one of the top-20 inside linebackers in the class according to the 247Sports Composite, French had been committed to the Razorbacks since July 23.

This decommitment comes on the immediate heels of French’s official visit on October 18. Just two weeks prior, October 4, he had taken his official visit to the University of Tennessee’s campus in Knoxville.

The Volunteers are now the presumed leader in the clubhouse for French’s services. Jeremy Pruitt’s program held one of his 11 Crystal Ball predictions prior to his original commitment.

For Arkansas, their 2020 class now stands at 13 members. Headlined by Memphis Central (Memphis, Tennessee) four-star wide receiver Darin Turner, Chad Morris’ crop of prospects is considered to be a top-40 class nationally.

The Razorbacks’ 51-10 loss to No. 9 Auburn ended up costing them dearly, it appears. Unfortunately for Arkansas, the road will actually get more difficult as the program travels to Tuscaloosa to face No. 1 Alabama on Saturday (7:00PM ET, ESPN).

Tennessee, who lost to the Crimson Tide on October 19, will host South Carolina on October 26 (4:00PM ET, SEC Network).
