Arkansas fans likely haven’t forgotten what happened the last time the Razorbacks played Auburn.

On Oct. 10, 2020, the Tigers beat the Hogs, 30-28, in a game that had a controversial finish. In the final minute, Auburn quarterback Bo Nix needed to spike the ball and appeared to do so backward after fumbling the snap. However, his spike — which also seemed to be a fumble — was ruled intentional grounding.

That kept the ball in the Tigers’ possession, and they went on to win on Anders Carlson’s 39-yard field goal with 7 seconds remaining.

This year, the Razorbacks are looking for revenge. Arkansas is hosting Auburn on Saturday afternoon, and it should be an exciting matchup. On Friday, the Hogs dropped a hype video for the contest, one that also served as a reminder of what happened last year:

Arkansas has lost 5 straight meetings with Auburn, a streak that dates back to 2016. The Razorbacks’ last win over the Tigers came in Fayetteville in 2015.

This year could be different, though, considering Arkansas is off to a 4-2 start and is ranked No. 17 in the country. However, Auburn is still likely to be a challenging opponent.

The Razorbacks and Tigers are set to kick off on Saturday at noon ET on CBS.
