Arkansas continues to recruit well under head coach Bret Bielema, and the 2016 class is another solid effort, featuring a difference-maker at running back in Devwah Whaley (Beaumont, Texas/Central) as well as depth and talent along both lines of scrimmage.

The Razorbacks again have done an excellent job in-state, landing the top four prospects from the Natural State this cycle.

Current rank: No. 9 SEC, No. 26 national (247Sports Composite rankings)

Top commit: McTelvin Agim, DE, Hope (Ark.). Agim, an Under Armour All-American, is the top overall prospect in the state of Arkansas this cycle and one of the better defensive line prospects nationally this cycle. The 6-foot-3, 268-pounder can play outside or inside, has superior athleticism and pass-rushing ability and has a high ceiling from where he’s at right now as a prospect. Agim also has enough strength to step in and play next season.

Sleeper: Terrance Malone, OG, Northwest Mississippi Junior College. The 6-foot-4, 308-pound Malone signed with Arkansas in December and has the chance to compete for a spot in the rotation. Though he only ranks as a low three-star prospect, he’s got the physical tools to surpass that projection during his career in Fayetteville.

Quick take: It goes without saying that Whaley is a huge pick-up. You also have to like the job the Razorbacks have done at defensive line this cycle, which is always critical. Agim and defensive tackles Austin Capps and Briston Guidry make for quite a trio there, and there’s a lot to like about end Haydon Johnson out of Columbia, Mo. In addition to landing the top in-state talent, Arkansas has landed prospects from bordering Texas, Louisiana, Missouri and Mississippi.
