Reese Robinett was in just his second game of the season, and the Arkansas freshman launched a memorable hit in one of the most hostile environments in college baseball at No. 1 LSU.

Facing a 1-0 count with runners on first and second base, Robinett, who goes by the nickname “Big Country,” reached down and golfed a pitch beyond the center field wall to give Arkansas a 4-1 lead over the Tigers. Robinett’s blast traveled 421 feet, and opened the flood gates for the Razorbacks.

After a run-scoring sacrifice fly, Kendall Diggs cleared the bases with a grand slam, as Arkansas went up 9-1 on LSU, and that cleared out the right field Diamond Deck for the Tigers’ faithful.

Robinett had a huge fall for the Diamond Hogs, and showed again why he has strong power with these fall stats per Mason Choate: 12 H, 3 2B, 4 HR, 10 RBI, 7 R, 5 BB, 14 K, .375 AVG, .459 OBP, .844 SLG, 1.303 OPS.
