A week after adding some quality depth to the program’s frontcourt, Arkansas may be losing some depth at the forward position.

This time last week, former Indiana forward and graduate transfer Justin Smith announced his commitment to Arkansas after starting every game last season for the Hoosiers.

Following that news, Scottie Bordelon of Whole Hog Sports is reporting that Razorback forward Reggie Chaney has entered the NCAA transfer portal.

It should be noted that entering the NCAA transfer portal does not guarantee a player is leaving his school. Doing so simply allows other programs the opportunity to contact the player without tampering.

Chaney started the season on suspension before averaging 14.6 minutes per game for the Razorbacks during his sophomore campaign. Chaney is a Tulsa native.

While he showed flashes playing in Eric Musselman’s system, Chaney played sparingly during the final few games of the season for the Razorbacks. Chaney signed to play for Mike Anderson after being rated as a three-star high school prospect.
